So about two years ago, I received one of the simplest yet most thoughtful gifts: a pack of blue marbles which, were supposed to be put inside some nice little glass filled up with water; and the idea was to put the glass somewhere in the room, where your eyes pass by it most often. Eventually you’d obtain peace of mind just by getting to look at the blue glass a couple of times a day.
It was pretty cute, but I never thought it would actually have this kind of effect ... I just liked the fact that someone gave me a gift of peace. Someone gave me as a gift, a simple cute idea with a hope that it would calm me down and soothe my soul. That itself felt just so good that even if the idea wouldn’t work, or at least wouldn’t work for me, I was still glad having received such a gift.
And I must say, it does calm me down … Sometimes, I just gaze at it for an hour or two and just relax …
I love it …
